We aim to empower communities and individuals at risk of social exclusion to leverage the full potential of digital technologies. We support a social initiative led by the Intercultural European Club and Aga Khan Foundation, “Balcão do Bairro”.
“Balcão do Bairro” is a network of in-person walk-in services managed and targeted at vulnerable communities in Lisbon. It provides citizens with personalised, empathetic, and trustworthy support in solving everyday issues with and through digital technologies.
Our goal is to build the socio-technical infrastructure to support a decentralised community of walk-in services that can have a real impact on citizens lives. We will follow a co-design process to support growth, sustainability, resilience, and impact of “Balcão do Bairro”.
